US Removes Libya from the List of State Sponsors of Terror.
 On July 13, 2006 the State Department released the text of a formal determination that removes Libya from the list of states that support terrorism.  As a result, the legal rationale is terminated for the remaining U.S. sanctions against Libya.  Please see announcement in July 13th Federal Register
